Filled with fascinating exhibits spanning through centuries from the dawn of time to modern day science, there are a wealth of exhibitions both permanent and temporary to explore. From dinosaurs to the Egyptians, live sharks and the desert of Nevada – it’s got it all.

Bringing the wild and wonderful to life, you can see an animated dinosaur exhibit featuring a 35 foot Tyrannosaurus Rex, as well as tank full of live sharks and a 16 foot giraffe! If you’re intrigued by animals then the Natural History Museum will blow you away!

Things to see:

- Go back in time to the land of the pre-historic in the Dinosaur Mummy CSI Exhibit, one of the museum’s most popular exhibits, which goes beneath the surface of what we know about these extinct creatures. An in-depth look at dinosaurs, expand your mind and learn about these mysterious creatures from never-seen-before images of the preserved dinosaur mummy.

- Take a trip into Tutankhamun’s tomb through the Treasures of Egypt exhibition, a recreation of the most important pieces from the Golden Throne, including chariots and the sarcophagus.

- Get your kids involved with the Young Scientist Centre as they can live out their dream jobs and get a feel for what it’s like to wear a lab coat as they dive into the depths of the ocean as a marine biologist, or carve away at fossilised rocks as a potential palaeontologist.

- Learn about your surroundings at the Wild Nevada Gallery which explored the rugged and arid environment of the Mojave Desert. Discover the variety of plants and natural landscape through this interactive exhibition.

- Get up close and personal with wildlife in the International Wildlife Gallery. From bears, big cats, dogs and deer, see how animals have adapted and evolved for survival.
